Rune Knights, often called Magic Knights have the most damage potential in the game for a single hit. This is due to their elemental damage bonus. That doesn't sound too exciting, but elemental spells have the most damage potential because they have more variables in the damage formula, such as elemental resistances and the Staff damage bonus. Rune Knights are good with Swords and Staves.

Note: Of the offensive magic listed, a Rune Knight will only learn one element, the one for which she had a 50% affinity when she was created. Despite this, the Rune Knight will learn all three elements of the buffs/debuffs. However, through Reincarnation and/or the Master/Student relationship, Rune Knights can end up knowing offensive magic for all three elements.
