Reincarnation

Reincarnation is the action of remaking your character in the Dark Assembly, similar to Character Creation, but your character will re-start at level one. However, there are several benefits for doing so, one being that none of the capabilities require approval for Reincarnation, which means you can use the handy trick of creating a low-Capability character, then reincarnating him/her at Genius without having to see the Dark Assembly.

[edit] How It's Done
To reincarnate your character, you must first speak to one of the Dark Secretaries to access the Dark Assembly. Then you must select the character you would like to reincarnate. From the list of proposals, select the "Reincarnation" option. It initially costs 100 Mana, but more will be added on depending on the Capability of reincarnation.
You'll now be taken to the the screen you saw before when you tried to create a new character. Now you must select the class and tier you would like to become. You can choose any generic class you've unlocked. Note: You'll keep your Felonies and Felony Stamp.
| Capability | Maximum Yellow Bar | Maximum Base Stat | Inheritance Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Good-for-nothing | 15 | 243 | 45% |
| Incompetent | 20 | 248 | 55% |
| Average | 25 | 253 | 65% |
| Skilled | 30 | 255 | 75% |
| Distinguished | 35 | 255 | 85% |
| Genius | 40 | 255 | 95% |
"Base Stat" refers to the Stat before Randomization, and after Bonus Point allocation.
After that, you will be taken to the screen where you must choose the Capability of the character. The Capability no longer only affects initial bonus points. Now, if you choose a higher Capability, you will get higher "Yellow Bar". Yellow Bar is based off your natural stats immediately before reincarnation and is added onto your Basic Stats; it's completely different from bonus points. Depending on the Capability of Reincarnation, there's a maximum amount of Yellow Bar you can have, as shown in the Capability Properties Table.
On the same screen on which you choose the Capability, you'll see a Reincarnation counter and a Total LV counter.
- Reincarnation Counter: This represents the total number of times you've previously reincarnated. It does not affect anything, but serves just to let you know how many times you've reincarnated.
- Total LV Counter: This represents the total number of levels you've thrown away on previous reincarnations. It is extremely important. For all of your stored levels thrown into the Total LV counter, you get a specific amount of extra bonus points to allocate to your stats on top of the Base Bonus Points. The maximum bonus points you can get from this method is 200. There's a Table further down that shows how many stored levels are required to reach a given value of additional Bonus Points (BP).
After you've chosen your Capability, you must choose the name of your character, as in Character Creation, except that your character already has a name. You can choose to have the same name as before, or you can choose a new name. Either way, you can change it at any time later via the "Change Name" option in the Dark Assembly.
Next, you must distribute your Bonus Points. Your Yellow Bar points will of course show up here as a yellow bar.
Finally, you'll see the overview of your character with the new changes in effect. If you don't like it, you can play around with randomization or turn back completely and cancel the reincarnation.
[edit] Special Reincarnation
Aside from normal reincarnation, if you're a generic character class, there's also a special kind of reincarnation you can do by selecting the proposal: "Reincarnate into a Prinny". This will result in the character being turned into a Prinny and his/her Felony Stamp being removed. Once a Prinny, you can propose the "End Prinny Reincarnation" proposal to turn back into a generic; you'll be able to reincarnate into any class you want, not just the one you were before reincarnating into a Prinny.
Note: Doing an ordinary reincarnation into a Prinny does not have this effect.
Story characters have a different proposal: "Reincarnate to Atone for Sins". This will basically do the same thing as a normal reincarnation, but their Felony Stamp will be removed. They don't have an equivalent of "End Prinny Reincarnation", but the "Reincarnate to Atone for Sins" proposal costs twice as much Mana as "Reincarnate into a Prinny".
[edit] Yellow Bar Table
This table shows the exact stat required to reach a given value of Yellow Bar if you reincarnate as Genius.
Note: This table does not work for HP because it is different in that it requires a higher stat, but we're not sure of the exact amount for each value of Yellow Bar.

[edit] Bonus Point Table
This table shows how many stored levels are required to reach a given value of additional (in addition to the Base) Bonus Points (BP).
In addition to the 200 max bonus points from stored levels and the 10 bonus points for reincarnating as Genius, you also get 10 more bonus points for reincarnating into the same class/tier 10 times in a row. They will not show up in the Capability selection screen, but you'll see them on the bonus point allocation screen. If you switch to a different class/tier, you'll still keep the extra bonus points.
