Prinnies are perhaps the most well known monsters of the Disgaea series. Each Prinny contains the soul of a sinner who must pay off his or her misdeeds as a form of divine punishment. Prinnies are found both in Celestia and the Netherworld. While celestial Prinnies do volunteer work to make amends, Netherworld Prinnies are little more than slaves and cannon fodder to the demons who hire them.

In battle, Prinnies tend to be used for little more than comic relief, yet they still have a solid list of skills, including one that plagues an enemy with various status effects. Another use for Prinnies is their ability to explode when thrown, which deals damage proportional to the Prinny's current health. Crafty players will equip a Prinny with as many Muscle items as possible to maximize the damage dealt and clear large areas of tough demons.

Special Abilities: !EXPLODES! when thrown, killing the Prinny, but dealing 50% of its current HP as damage to nearby targets. This does not count as an ally kill and cannot be dodged. Prinnies also cost only 1 HL to be fully healed/revived.
