Marionettes are strange and defensive puppet monsters. While they lack HP, Marionettes have very high Attack, Defense, Resistance and Speed stats. This combination makes them very tough to fight, as they can easily dodge and counter melee attacks. Interestingly enough, all of a marioette's attacks reduce an enemy's speed, save for "Poison Poison". Additionally, Marionettes are completely immune to status effects, so you can't kill them with poison or delay them with sleep.
