Laharl, or "Prince" as his known by Etna, is son of the late King Krichevskoy and Overlord of his own Netherworld. He sets out to be the most evil and infamous Overlord of all time and so far he seems to be completing it. He commands an enormous demon legion, rules over a Netherworld baked in hellfire, single handedly sank the entire Earth Defense Force, has Earth's mightiest hero as a vassal, marched on Celestia's hallowed grounds, and more at the tender age of 1,316. His list of vile deeds outweighs the successes of demons twice his age. Currently, he is searching for his vassal Etna, who has ran away from him not to long ago.

Laharl is the incarnation of mammon, rage, arrogance and authority. He does what he wants, how he wants to who he wants with little consideration for his actions. At least, if left to his own devices. Both Etna and Flonne act like older siblings to him, counseling him on what may be a frivolous display of power. To Etna and Flonne, Laharl seems more like a spoiled prince with too much power and a heart he wishes to cover up rather than the ruthless and iron fist Overlord he pronounces himself to be.

In battle, Laharl is heavy handed warrior. He has High Attack, HP, and Defense. He also comes with two counters, which is uncommon among humanoid demons. His special attacks are very powerful and complement the Sword's special attacks. His inherited ability allows him deal more damage against monsters, which is always useful.
