Healers are mainly defensive characters, having all the helpful restorative spells and high RES, which is used to calculate how much "damage" a heal spell does. Healers should usually keep behind the main fighting force and just support them, but in the case that an enemy casts a long range spell and hits a Healer, her innate ability to resist elemental attacks tremendously reduces her chance to be killed. In a tough battle, a Healer can definitely turn the tide. Besides with Staves, Healers are also decent with Swords, Spears, and Bows, but a Staff is the best choice because they boost magic range and Area of Effect. You'll immediately receive a Healer from Adell's father at the beginning of the game. She is equipped with a bow, but you should also buy a staff for her as well. Since healers do not gain attack spells naturally, a Bow is a perfect choice to help support the rest of your demonic army. Simply switch weapons when you wish for a Healer to attack or heal.
