Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is the second installment in the Disgaea series, introducing new characters, new story and improved gameplay, as well several new features, such as the Dark World, the Land of Carnage, and Stack Attacks. Developed and published by Nippon Ichi Software, the game was released in Japan on February 23^rd, 2006 and in North America on August 29^th, 2006. It was later released in Europe and Australia during November of that year.

Plot

After years of Overlord Zenon's curse transforming the inhabitants of Veldime into uncontrollable, bloodthirsty demons, Adell is the last known human. He seeks to reverse the foul curse and restore order to the world by hunting down and defeating Overlord Zenon.

The story begins with Adell's Mom attempting to summon Zenon in the name of Adell. Instead, the result is a girl named Rozalin, claiming to be Zenon's daughter. She is bound to Adell by the terms of the summon, so she has to tag along with Adell on his quest.
